Tische aus Restholz
Nicht nur Bauholz wie Fichte und Kiefer, sondern auch das Holz von Laubbäumen, welches Bedeutung für den Möbelbau hat, wurde in den letzten zwei Jahren sprunghaft teurer. Neben der Steigerung von Energiekosten wurden u.a. fast 40% des heimischen Eichenrundholzes 2021/22 nach China exportiert, während gleichzeitig die Abholzrate sinkt.
Bei der Verarbeitung von Holz fällt immer ein gewisser Verschnitt an, der nicht weiterverwendet werden kann und im Container landet. Gerade bei Massivholz ist das angesichts der Tatsachen schade.
Diese Couchtische wurden vollständig aus den Abschnitten eines bestimmten Auftrags gebaut. Ausschließlich aus Resten und fast ohne eigene Reste zu produzieren. Aus Streifenabschnitten wurden dafür Leimholzplatten hergestellt. Die Streifen sind unregelmäßig, von der Seite sieht man Fehlstellen. All das ist erwünscht, denn es zeigt, was es ist: ein Tisch aus Restholz, der auf die Ressourcenknappheit hinweist und gleichzeitig die Wertigkeit von Massivholzmöbeln zeigt.

All this is desirable, because it shows what it is: a table made of scrap wood, which points to the scarcity of resources and at the same time shows the value of solid wood furniture.
